Top 5 Batsmen In IPL 2024 Orange Cap Standings

Virat Kohli: The RCB legend continues to shine for the Bengaluru franchise at the top of the order and will look to rely on his consistency as they aim to keep their slim chances of a spot in the playoffs alive.

Ruturaj Gaikwad: Despite being handed the responsibility of leading the defending champions, CSK, Gaikwad has managed to continue his consistent form with the bat and the champions will expect the skipper to score the big runs at the top of the order for CSK’s remaining games.

Travis Head: The explosive opening batter has shown his class for the Sunrisers and has built a reputation for scoring the big runs and helping the side in a bid to the top four. The Australian international will play a key role for the Hyderabad unit if they are to make it through to the next stage of the tournament.

Sanju Samson: The RR skipper showcased his class under pressure once again and almost single-handedly put RR in contention for a win with a blistering knock of 86. The wicketkeeper batter is providing his best run-scoring season with the bat and will look to continue for the rest of the season.

Sunil Narine: Having found his groove with the bat yet again at the top of the batting order, Narine has been able to make a consistent contribution with the bat for the current league leaders and will hope to see off the league stages on a positive note and possibly make a run for the title.

Top 5 Bowlers In IPL 2024 Purple Cap Standings

Harshal Patel: The leading wicket-taker for the mid-table Punjab Kings has managed to find his form with the ball after a poor start to the season. His ability to take wickets, particularly in the death makes him a crucial asset for Punjab’s bowling unit.

Jasprit Bumrah: The ace in the hole for Mumbai Indians is the shining light for the franchise in what has been a disastrous season for the five-time champions. His ability to bowl in all three stages of the innings along with his wicket-taking skills while keeping the run flow on a minimum makes him arguably the best bowler of the tournament.

Varun Chakravarthy: The mystery spinner was definitely one of the weak points in KKR’s bowling unit through the initial stages of the tournament, but his persistence finally paid off in dividends and finds himself among the top wicket-takers in IPL 2024.

Arshdeep Singh: The best part about the left-arm pacer is his ability to play with both the new and older ball and also be able to pick up wickets regularly. Despite going for runs, his wicket-taking skills will prove to be vital if PBKS are to make it through to the playoffs.

T Natarajan: Despite injuries holding him back in the previous years, he has now been able to get back to his best form with the ball and remains the ace for SRH’s bowling unit by being able to bowl in all phases of the innings and also take wickets regularly.
