TCS COO Salary: How much NG Subramaniam drew in FY 2023 - Check total compensation

TCS COO salary: India's largest software exporter, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), on Tuesday, released its annual report for the financial year 2023. The report revealed the salary drawn by the company's Chief Operating Officer (COO), N Ganapathy Subramaniam.

NG Subramaniam drew a salary of Rs 23.59 crore. Of this, the benefits, prerequisites, and allowances added up to Rs 2.24 crore, while the commission came up to Rs 17 crore. This financial year, Subramaniam's remuneration saw a 28.47 per cent increase. This is higher than the 27.38 per cent jump in managerial remuneration for the year.

The 62-year-old was appointed to the post in February 2017. He holds directorships in four companies under the Tata Group: Tata Elxsi Limited, TCS Foundation, Tata Communications Limited, and Tejas Networks Limited. Subramaniam owns 1,97,760 equity shares of the company.

The company, in its report, said that it "pays remuneration by way of salary, benefits, perquisites and allowances (fixed component) and commission (variable component) to its Managing Director and the Executive Directors. Annual increments are recommended by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee within the salary scale approved by the Board and Members and are effective April 1, each year."

TCS performance

The report said that in the financial year 2022, TCS crossed the milestone of $25 billion in revenues. It registered a growth of 15.9 per cent, "adding an all-time high incremental revenues of $3.5 billion." It noted that the company's growth has come with an industry-leading operating margin of 25.3 per cent.

The report went on to say that since the start of the last decade, the company has grown over four times. It has comfortably outperformed some of its largest global competitors.

At our current pace of growth, it is only a matter of time before we double our revenues and hit the $50 billion mark.
