Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's latest film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' has failed to rake good numbers at the box office despite four days of running. It seems to have affected the actor.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Aamir seems to be in a state of shock, considering the failure of 'Laal Singh Chaddha'.

A close friend of the actor and his ex wife Kiran Rao told the entertainment portal that Aamir had worked hard to make the best version of 'Forrest Gump' possible and the rejection has 'hit him very hard'.

Reportedly, Aamir, as co-producer, has taken responsibility for the film’s failure and is working at partially compensating the heavy losses incurred by distributors.

The film has created quite a buzz on the internet, ever since it was announced by the makers. Recently, it was also trending on Twitter but not for the right reasons. Netizens used #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha on the microblogging site, and asked people to not watch the movie.

Aamir has also been facing uproar on social media for his old remarks regarding intolerance in the country. All this has said to have affected the business of 'Laal Singh Chaddha'.

In four days, the film has collected Rs 37.96 crore.

'Laal Singh Chaddha' is directed by Advait Chandan. The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios. It also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in pivotal roles. It is an official remake of the Hollywood film 'Forrest Gump'.
