June 08,2023

Bharti Airtel has silently introduced a new prepaid recharge plan to its lineup. The new plan offers 6GB of internet data and serves as a data voucher for users who need to quickly recharge their internet data after exceeding their daily data limit. It is worth mentioning that Airtel released this new data plan just days after Vodafone Idea launched a similar data voucher for its prepaid users.

Let's take a detailed look at the newly added Airtel prepaid data voucher and its offerings.

Airtel Rs 49 prepaid plan details

The new prepaid plan offered by Airtel provides 6GB of bundled data with a validity of 1 day. As reported by Telecom Talk, the new prepaid data voucher is not a standalone plan. This means that users will need an active base plan in order to enjoy the benefits of the newly added data plan. This plan is specifically curated for users who require additional data for a specific period, particularly when they are in an area without access to WiFi.

However, if users are looking for a similar plan but with extended validity, they can also consider the Rs 58 data plan. The prepaid voucher offers 3GB of data with validity until the existing base plan. Alternatively, if they require more data and validity, Airtel's Rs 98 plan is also available. With this plan, users receive 5GB of data with the validity of the existing plan, along with additional benefits of Wynk Music premium.

In the meantime, Airtel is busy deploying its 5G network across the country. The telecom operator is currently offering its 5G NSA (non-standalone network) network in more than 3000 cities/towns of India and is aiming to cover significant cities/towns by the end of December 2023. Airtel users who have a 5G supported smartphone can access unlimited Airtel 5G data on their existing plan of Rs 239 and above.

To activate Airtel 5G, visit the Airtel Thanks app and claim the 5G data offer. To connect with the available 5G network, go to device Settings> Cellular Network> check for Airtel SIM> turn on 5G network.

In the meantime, Jio is also deploying its standalone network across significant cities/towns.Jio is also offering 5G data for free to users with an active base plan of Rs 239 and above. If Jio users have a plan under Rs 239, they can get a data recharge of Rs 61 to get access to the available 5G network.
