KBC 15 Ep 27: Big B says the famous bulb jacket in song 'Sara Zamana' was his idea

Amitabh Bachchan is hosting the popular quiz-based game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. The show's 15th chapter premiered on August 14 on Sony TV. The 27th episode aired on September 20. Amitabh Bachchan started the episode with rollover contestant Vivek Kumar Agarwal. He took home Rs 12,50,000. Big B played the fastest fingers first round again which was won by Jasnil Kumar. He got emotional as he sat on the hot seat. Big B even gifted his jacket to Jasnil.

BIG B RECALLS SHOOTING 'SARA ZAMANA'

During the episode, Jasnil told Amitabh Bachchan that he is feeling cold. The actor immediately instructed his crew to bring his jacket for Jasnil and asked him to keep it. Jasnil was overwhelmed. Later, he told Amitabh Bachchan that his favourite film was 'Yaarana'.

To this, Big B recalled an anecdote from the shooting of the film's popular song, 'Sara Zamana'. He said, "I had suggested the producer to shoot one of the songs, Sara Zamana, in a different way. There was a new indoor stadium in Kolkata called Netaji Subhash stadium. They asked how we would bring people there and shoot. I suggested that we should spread the word about the shooting. The stadium could have only 12,000 people but 50,000 people had come and another 50,000 were waiting outside."

Jasnil further talked about Big B's outfit in the song. Big B said, "That outfit was also my idea. I regretted it later though. I told the designer that I wanted bulbs and it needed to spark. He got it made and I asked him how did he do it. The designer said, 'I have attached it all to the wire and that will go to the plug.'" He then joked, "So all those steps that you saw in the dance were because of the plug as the electricity was running in me."

'Kaun Banega Crorepati 15' airs from Monday to Friday at 9 pm on Sony TV. You can also stream it on the app SonyLIV. The show has undergone some changes, as far as the format is concerned.
