Not 'Fighter' or 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya', Yami Gautam's 'Article 370' is the first clean hit of 2024

Yami Gautam, Priya Mani, and Vaibhav Tatwawadi starrer Article 370 is seeing impressive success in terms of numbers at the box-office. While the film is receiving appreciation from all fronts, a remarkable moment for it is lauded by prestigious political dignitaries too. In terms of business, the film has performed even better than other big-budget projects.

Going by trade predictions, Yami Gautam's film is becoming the first hit of 2024. In its first week, the Jio Studios and B62 production crossed the 30 crore mark earning Rs 32.60 crores, now it is said to close its first week by doing a business of Rs 35 crores. And by the end of its 2nd week, the Yami Gautam starrer might also enter the 50 crore club. Article 370 has become this year's first clean hit.

While its strong word of mouth continues to grow, the film is surely on an upward ascent. From Jio Studios and the maker of Uri: The Surgical Strike, comes Article 370, a high-octane action political drama, headlined by Yami Gautam and directed by National Award-winner Aditya Suhas Jambhale. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar, the film was released in cinemas worldwide on 23rd February 2024.

In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Firstpost, Yami Gautam talked about playing intelligence officer Zooni Haksar in Article 370, women’s roles changing in cinema and on her preparation for motherhood.

She said about her prep, "The preparation of the character had to happen in two aspects, the emotional and mental aspect and the other was about the physicality. We had military advisors, Lt. Colonel Kishwendra Singh, we also had Bhushan (sir) from NSG who helped us in weapon training and even combat training."
