T20 World Cup 2024: Hardik Pandya Didn't Join Team India For THIS Reason Amid Divorce Rumors - Report

May 27,2024

A mid speculation surrounding Hardik Pandya's absence as Team India departed for the T20 World Cup from Mumbai last night, it has been revealed that the Mumbai Indians skipper has embarked on a vacation to an undisclosed location. According to a report on Cricbuzz, Hardik will join Rohit and the team directly in New York. He embarked on the holiday immediately after MI's defeat in their final IPL 2024 match against the Lucknow Super Giants.

Pandya's performance with both bat and ball has been lackluster. Criticism surrounded his captaincy for the Mumbai franchise, particularly after they became the first team to be ousted from the playoffs contention.

Previously, BCCI posted several images of their departure on social media platforms. Among the pictures, Suryakumar Yadav could be seen alongside Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, and Mohammed Siraj.

India are scheduled to engage in their sole warm-up match against Bangladesh at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on June 1. Their journey in the Men’s T20 World Cup kicks off on June 5 against Group A rivals Ireland in New York, with a much-anticipated encounter against Pakistan following on June 9.

Following this, India will encounter co-hosts USA on June 12 in New York, then head to Florida to confront Canada on June 15, concluding their Group A fixtures. India clinched the inaugural Men’s T20 World Cup title in 2007 and aspire to seize the trophy for only the second time in the forthcoming tournament.

In other news there is strong rumors doing the rounds that Hardik Pandya is heading for a split with wife Natasa Stankovic. Stankovic was spotted with gym trainer Alexander Ilic and the former has refused to make any comments on the rumored break-up.
