Max Hospital, Nagpur, Hosts Second Edition of the “Everyday Warriors” Cancer Survivor Event

Nagpur, December , 2025: Max Super Specialty Hospital, Nagpur, hosted the second edition of the “Everyday Warriors” program. The event served as a platform for cancer survivors and their families to share inspiring stories, showcase talent, and embrace life with renewed confidence. By organising such an initiative, the hospital continues its commitment to supporting survivors in overcoming the emotional and psychological challenges posed by cancer.
The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Chief Guest- Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar, Minister of State (Government of Maharashtra) - Guardian Minister, Home (Rural), Housing, Mining, School Education and Co-operation, Guest of Honor - Dr Anand Pathak, Medical Director, National Cancer Institute, Nagpur and Dr. Y S Deshpande, Ex-President - IMA Maharashtra State and Mr. Ghanshyam Gusani, Vice President – Hospital Operations, Max Hospital, Nagpur, and team of expert Oncologists from Max Hospital, Nagpur. The speakers praised the cancer survivors' spirit of fighting against cancer, their families, which acts as the most important support system in their journey, and offered attendees valuable insights with a message of strength and empowerment.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Amol Dongre - Director - Medical Oncology, Max Hospital, Nagpur, emphasized the importance of community involvement in the fight against cancer. He stated, “Cancer awareness, education, and community support are crucial to improving outcomes. Even today, the word ‘cancer’ instils more fear than the disease itself due to lack of understanding about early symptoms and modern treatment options. Early detection saves lives, yet misconceptions often delay timely diagnosis.”
This year’s edition of “Everyday Warriors” held special significance as the hospital recognized cancer survivors for their exceptional and selfless contributions to society.
