Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway box office collection Day 4: Rani Mukerji's film sees drastic drop

March 21,2023

Rani Mukerji's film Mrs Chhatterjee Vs Norway has failed to see considerable growth at the box office. The film is hardly adding any money to its total box office collection. Helmed by Ashima Chibber, the film mixed responses from the critics and audience. It has failed to pull the crowd to theatres. Mrs Chhatterjee Vs Norway hardly earned Rs 1 crore on Day 4.

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway minted Rs 1.27 crore on Day 1. The film earned Rs 2.50 crore on Day 2, taking the total amount to Rs 3.77 crore. On Day 3, March 19, it added Rs 3 crore to its collection. On Day 4, the film saw a drastic drop as it hardly minted Rs 1 crore. Hence, the total domestic box office collection now stands at Rs 7.42 crore. These aren't impressive numbers. Meanwhile, Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway had an overall 8.92 per cent Hindi occupancy on Monday, March 20.

On the other hand, Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway took the highest opening ever for a Hindi film in Norway due to the film having a local setting, reports Box Office India. "The previous record was Raees but that was set over five days while the three day record was Bajrangi Bhaijaan which Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway comfortably beat," the report suggested.

Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway is an emotional drama that revolves around a mother who locks horns with an entire nation to win her kids' custody. The film's cast also includes Anirban Bhattacharya and Jim Sarbh. Directed by Ashima Chibber, it released in theatres on March 17. The film is an adaptation based on the mother - Sagarika Chakraborty's autobiography titled The Journey of a Mother whose children were taken away from them by the Norwegian Childcare system (Barnevernet) in 2011.
