Shaitaan Box Office Collection Day 19: Ajay Devgn starrer shoots past Rs 180 crore mark at worldwide box office

Ajay Devgn's blockbuster 'Shaitaan' is continuing its undisputed run at the Indian box office. The film that completed its 19th day at the box office, crossed the Rs 180 crore mark at the global box office.

On Tuesday, the film had a good run at the theatres which saw it asserting its dominance and amassing an impressive Rs 2.25 crore across India for all languages. The thriller maintained a robust 12.15% occupancy rate for its Hindi version on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, despite facing stiff competition from other releases.

According to sacnilk.com, the film showcased clinched an estimated Rs 79.75 crore nett in its first week. Despite facing contenders like Sidharth Malhotra's 'Yodha' and Hollywood's 'Kung Fu Panda 4', in its second week, 'Shaitaan' defied the odds, raking in an additional estimated Rs 34.55 crore. Notably, it outperformed all newcomers to retain its throne atop the Indian box office.

Entering the extended Holi weekend, 'Shaitaan' continued its winning streak, collecting Rs 2.4 crore on its third Friday, followed by impressive hauls of Rs 4.5 crore and Rs 4.35 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The Holi holiday further propelled its fortunes, with the film pocketing an impressive Rs 3.15 crore.

According to the report, the gross collections have breached the Rs 150 crore mark, with the film's total estimated at Rs 152.25 crore.

Simultaneously, on the international front, 'Shaitaan' earned an estimated Rs 32 crore, catapulting its worldwide total to a staggering Rs 184.25 crore.

All eyes are now on the box office to see if 'Shaitaan' can surpass the Rs 200 crore milestone, a feat achieved by only one other Hindi film in 2024. Currently, it stands as the second highest-grossing film of the year, trailing behind Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's 'Fighter'.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film features an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Jyothika, R. Madhavan, and Janki Bodiwala in pivotal roles.
